Senada Šelo Šabić, Scientific Adviser at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) and member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), participated in the ECFR Annual Council Meeting 2026, held in Vienna on 17–18 June 2026.

The Annual Council Meeting is the flagship event of ECFR — one of Europe’s leading foreign policy think tanks — bringing together ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, business leaders, academics and civil society representatives from across Europe and beyond. This year’s meeting centred on the theme “Europe’s geopolitical playbook in a world of unorder”, addressing how Europe can shape, rather than simply absorb, the consequences of a fracturing international order.

Through her participation, Šelo Šabić contributed to high-level strategic debates on Europe’s foreign policy, security architecture, and the continent’s role in an increasingly contested global environment, reaffirming IRMO’s active presence in key European policy forums.
