Damir Demonja, Ph.D.
Damir Demonja (born 1966 in Zagreb), graduated in Philosophy and History of Art (1993) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, where he earned his master’s degree (1996) and doctorate (2001). He worked at the Institute of Art History (IPU) in Zagreb, in the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, and since 2006 he works at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb, now as Senior Research Adviser in tenure. He is the author of 200 scientific and professional works, six scientific books and one editorial. He is a member of the scientific and organizing committees/councils of international scientific conferences, scientific reviewer in international and Croatian interdisciplinary scientific journals, a member of the Scientific Council for Tourism and Space of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) (from September 2019), a member of Scientific field committees for interdisciplinary scientific field – various scientific fields of the National Council for Higher Education, Science and Technological Development (form April 2024), and leader and coordinator of international cooperation with faculties and institutes. Dr. Demonja will implement the project component related to local cultural resources and their use.
