Sandro Knezović, PhD, a Research Adviser at the Department of International Economic and Political Relations from IRMO participated at the international conference entitled “Overcoming Stabilitocracy in South East Europe” that was organised by the PfP Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes in Reichenau and der Rax, Austria.
The conference focused on regional political and security trends in Southeast Europe in light of Ukraine crisis and other security challenges for the EU. Special focus was dedicated to the phenomena of stabilitocracy that represents a growing challenge to democratic consolidation of countries in the region.
The conference gathered numerous representatives of civil society, state administration and diplomatic missions, as well as academic community. As a representative of IRMO, Dr Knezović actively participated in the work of all panels and definition of concrete policy recommendations that would be published in a joint publication, using this opportunity to promote the Institute and its work.
