Dr. Emina Bužinkić from the Institute for Development and International Relations gave a lecture titled “Taking Gaza: Knowledge Production and Academic Demobilization” at an advanced research seminar at the Faculty of Political Science on May 29. In her presentation, she addressed the issue of knowledge production about extreme violence in Gaza, particularly focusing on the production of knowledge that violently reshapes, diverts attention, or silences discussions about contextual and critical understanding of the historical and current Palestinian question. Additionally, she explained why and how the academic community is obligated to orient itself toward critical learning, the organization of blockades, and its own reorganization during a period of tectonic changes in the meanings of life, justice, and freedom.
