Climate change- lecture for Generali insurance company

As part of this year’s WeLearn Week by Generali Insurance, Dr Ana-Maria Boromisa,  head of the Department for International Economic and Political Relations PhD,  delivered a professional online lecture for employees on June 5th.

The lecture addressed the following questions:

  1. What do we know about climate change?
  2. What can we expect?
  3. How will climate change impact the quality of life? (job, health, food, water, energy, transportation, leisure activities…)
  4. What can we do?
  5. What if we do nothing?

The findings of the Sixth Report of the International Panel on Climate Change were briefly presented, the climate projections for Croatia and expected effects of climate change on various aspects of life (health, business opportunities, security, migration). Different levels of measures (national, societal, individual) and their contributions to mitigating and adapting to climate change were identified.

The lecture was attended by 200 Generali Insuran projections for Croatia  ce employees.
